Curator's Note of Thanks

I just have to say a hearty thank you:

For reading along. For sharing links via Facebook and forwarding poems via email. For suggesting or submitting poems. For bearing with technical problems and "growing pains." For sending your messages of appreciation and telling me stories. For making me smile, even laugh. Sometimes, for bringing tears. For inspiring me. Every day, I meet a steady trickle of you, electronically and via snail mail, from around the world.

When I began this project, I never realized I'd feel so connected to the readers of these poems. You are a blessing.

So, with a deep bow of gratitude:

P.S. No, I'm not saying "thanks" because I'm calling it quits.
I just like to say it now and then.
I don't do it enough.

  1. Dear Phyllis, I'm a newer subscriber and have thanked you, responding to these notes from you, on Facebook, but wanted to do so a bit more fully, here on your gorgeous site. I'm beyond grateful for my daily emails from you, even in this time for many of us, of being inundated with emails WE actually solicited and then found we are overwhelmed by in their dailiness; indeed, I come back to the day's poem from you through my day, appreciating the "poetry" and heart of the poem at new levels and so appreciating, too, the accompanying art, which also consistently resonates with me. So... thank you for daily beauty from you. As a poetry lover, one who finds poetry a primary experience of "prayer" in her life, and as one who's sought poetry from other sources but not been touched by it at the level of soul and bones, I so deeply appreciate what you bring. Know that it matters; know that it makes a difference ongoingly. Warm blessings on you, woman.
