Francis of Assisi: "Wring Out My Clothes"

                                             Such love does
                                             the sky now pour,
that whenever I stand in a field,

I have to wring out the light
                                             when I get
                                             home.

"Wring Out My Clothes" by Francis of Assisi. Text as published in Love Poems from God: Twelve Sacred Voices from the East and West, edited by Daniel Ladinsky (Penguin Books, 2002).

  2. Thanks! This was a catalyst for me to gather my favorite photos of light in the sky for one blog post here http://watchtheshepherd.blogspot.com/2014/12/love-light.html
